ABOUT
Yayi is a young Zimbabwean singer and songwriter with an international focus. She developed a passion for music from age five and started posting covers at fourteen, catching the attention of prominent figures in the Zimbabwean music industry. Her official industry debut came at sixteen with her single "Ruvarashe," produced by Rodney Beats. The song was inspired by her younger sister Michelle and addresses themes of self-doubt and insecurity among teenagers, aiming to highlight the beauty people often overlook in themselves.

Yayi's music releases include "Higher" (2024), "Ndokuda" (2023), and "Ruvarashe" (2023). Her creative approach varies by season and inspiration, sometimes drawing from personal observations and other times developing ideas spontaneously in the studio through melody and humming before building the full composition. She has performed at venues organised by Zimoco alongside artists like Tamy Moyo and has worked in creative spaces with major Zimbabwean producers including Rodney Beats, DJ Tamuka, Nasper Incoming, and Manuchue.

Yayi's music is available on major streaming platforms including Apple Music, and her ambitions extend well beyond Zimbabwe's borders as she continues to build her international presence.
